Got Orgasm?  Women’s only workshop

When: February 10th 6:00pm-7:30pm

Where: 85 Washington Street Reno, NV – The Institute for Inspired Living

Who: Presented by Dr. Tory Clark

Cost : $25 - open to women of any orientation, single or in relationship

Most women receive negative messages about their sexuality.  Their vulvas are referred to as “privates” or “down there”, which are not to be touched, or enjoyed.  Many women still need permission to feel sexual pleasure and learn how to be empowered about their sexuality.  It is imperative that a woman takes responsibility for learning about her body and asking for or teaching her partner what she needs in order to reach orgasm.  This hour and a half interactive workshop will look at some of the reasons women have difficulty with orgasm, anatomical discussion, and tips to use both alone and with a partner.   Afterwards, we will take a trip over to the Chocolate Walrus for some more fun educational opportunities….

Honor and own your ability to orgasm!

Did you Know?

  • It takes a man an average of 2-5 minutes to have an orgasm, while it takes a woman an average of 20 minutes.
  • Half of girls have had an orgasm by the time they’re 16 years old.
  • 44% of men say their female partners always have orgasms when they have sex, but only 22% of women say they always have orgasms when they have sex.
  • At least 70% of women don’t reach an orgasm through intercourse alone.
  • 10% of women have never had an orgasm alone or with a partner.

Sexual Activity in the Later Years Workshop:

November 20th from 9:30am – 12:00pm

Many older adults grew up in an atmosphere of silence and discomfort regarding sexuality; sex was considered an inappropriate topic of conversation.  This two and a half hour workshop’s focus will be on conversations about sex!!  Talking about our most intimate needs is at best challenging and quite often intimidating.  Even in the most solid of long-term relationships, it can be difficult to discuss feelings, attitudes, needs and wants about sex.  This workshop will give participants an opportunity to overcome personal mindsets that block open communication about sex, learn a continuum of skills to initiate open conversations, and discuss the subject of sexual needs and wants using several exercises.  Participants will have the freedom to ask for what they want and need, and listen to the needs of others in a sex positive manner.

$20 per person or $30 per couple.  Please call or email Dr. Tory Clark to register.

Let’s Talk About Sex: A Workshop for Mothers and Daughters: October 1-3.

October 1st 6-9pm, 2nd 10am-4pm, 3rd 10am-4pm.

$150 per pair.  Limit 12 pairs.

This workshop is intended to help create a dialogue about sexuality between mothers and their daughters.  My idea for this workshop came to me after listening to my friends and college students wish that they would have been able to talk to their moms about sex.  As I think back, there is only a hand full of these young women that had an actual dialogue, an on-going dialogue, with their mothers regarding their sexuality.  As a parent, you see your daughter every day, and have the chance to help them develop a healthy sex life.  They want to come to YOU for answers about sex and will benefit greatly knowing that you are approachable and ready to discuss this incredibly important topic.

Some of the topics that we will cover:

  • Sexuality and Sex Positivity
  • Communication Skills
  • Intimate Relationships
  • Female Anatomy and Physiology
  • Body Image
  • Sexual Behavior
  • Contraception and Sexually Transmitted Infections
  • Influence From the Media and Technology

What you can expect:

  • An environment where sex can be discussed in an open and positive manner
  • Accurate comprehensive sex education

What you will gain:

  • Become more comfortable discussing sexuality with one another
  • A deeper understanding of one another, leading to a more open and honest relationship
  • A strong, clear mind to guide your sexuality and feelings towards your behavior and choices.
  • A positive relationship with your sexuality and increased self-confidence
  • A clear understanding of the connections between pleasure, intimacy, self-esteem, communication skills and sexual self-confidence

A Women’s Sexual Enrichment Group

A 7-week facilitated discussion and support group for women around the topic of sex and sexuality. This is a safe place for women to talk openly about their sexual lives, and the challenges they face sexually.
